Goals: Improve
or enhance the use of communication technologies to assure that
information is available to assist the kidney community provide
continuity of care during the response and recovery phase of a
disaster.
Accomplishments:
Developed a Kidney Care Emergency web site. Created
the Kidney Community Emergency listserv for activation in emergencies.
Set
up toll-free line to serve as the central number for use in public
service announcements for patients, family members, providers
and the renal community at large. Established
a second toll-free line to provide key information to ESRD Networks.
