| KCER:
KIDNEY COMMUNITY EMERGENCY RESPONSE COALITION
Disaster
Drills and Exercises
Drills
and exercises are an integral part of testing and refining the
national response strategy that has been put into place to assist
Federal, state, and local efforts in the event of an emergency
and/or disaster.
The
Kidney Community Emergency Response (KCER) Coalition executes
an annual disaster exercise, or mock drill. KCER Coalition Response
Team members participate in training and testing their preparedness
and response activities and use these exercises to advance KCER's
disaster plans.
The
KCER Exercise is targeted toward KCER Coalition members and Response
Teams. These practice activities ensure that the Coalition can
support CMS goals and the ESRD Network program.
The
2008
KCER Exercise was held July 17, 2008. To learn more about
how to participate in KCER exercises, please review this training
course which describes disaster drills and explains how Coalition
members participate in the activity.
